Save last check status between sessions:
If enabled then AM-DeadLink saves the last check status between sessions. This option works only with browser bookmarks, not with other text files. This option can slow down the load process of large bookmark lists.
Check
Connections:
Enter the number of simultaneous connections, default value is 10.
Check attempts:
If a check fails with the first check, AM-DeadLink can try a second or third check. Default value is 2.
Technology to check URLs (http)
For the http protocol AM-DeadLink supports different technologies how URLs can be checked.
- Internal method: This is the fastest method to check URLs.
- Internet Explorer technology: This technique uses the wininet.dll from Microsoft to check websites. It uses the AM-DeadLink proxy settings, alternatively you can use the Proxy settings which are defined in Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer - FavIcons
AM-DeadLink can download FavIcons to a specified folder. AM-DeadLink supports FavIcons which are specified in the HTML source and the favicon.ico file from the server root.
Opera - FavIcons
To download Opera FavIcons you must specify where the Opera FavIcons are stored on your system. Normally this folder is named "Images" in your Opera data directory. AM-DeadLink supports FavIcons which are specified in the HTML source and the favicon.ico file from the server root.
